The Right Material for Your Vision.

Material selection is a critical step in turning a great design into a successful product. The material you choose dictates the strength, flexibility, durability, and aesthetic of your final part. At FabraForma, we offer a diverse and high-quality range of materials across all our technologies, and our experts are here to guide you to the perfect choice for your specific application.

Durable Thermoplastics & Composites.

FDM/FFF technology is compatible with a wide array of robust and engineering-grade thermoplastics. We offer a variety of options that are well-suited for functional prototypes, end-use parts, and tools.

Available Materials:

  • PLA (Polylactic Acid): A popular, easy-to-print material ideal for visual prototypes, models, and low-cost mockups.
  • ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene): A strong, impact-resistant thermoplastic, great for functional prototypes and end-use parts.
  • PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol): Offers excellent chemical resistance and durability, perfect for mechanical parts and protective components.
  • ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate): Known for its UV resistance and weatherability, making it ideal for outdoor applications and automotive parts.
  • Nylon: A strong, flexible, and durable material with good chemical resistance, commonly used for jigs, fixtures, and functional parts.
  • Carbon Fiber Composite: A high-performance filament infused with carbon fibers, providing exceptional stiffness and strength for lightweight, demanding applications.

High-Resolution Resins for Fine Detail.

Our SLA resins are specially formulated to produce parts with an extremely smooth surface finish and incredible detail. These materials are perfect for visual prototypes, master patterns, and applications where aesthetics and precision are paramount.

Available Materials:

  • General Purpose Resin: A versatile and cost-effective option for rapid prototyping and general-use models.
  • Tough Resin: Produces strong, durable parts that can withstand stress and strain, making it suitable for functional prototyping.
  • Flexible Resin: Simulates the properties of rubber or silicone, ideal for grips, seals, and flexible prototypes.
  • Clear Resin: Produces transparent parts, perfect for fluidics, light pipes, and visual models.
  • High-Temp Resin: Offers high heat deflection temperatures, making it suitable for molding, tooling, and high-heat applications.

Multi-Material Resins for Realism.

PolyJet technology allows for the simultaneous printing of multiple materials with different mechanical properties. This enables us to create stunningly realistic, multi-material parts in a single build, complete with full-color capabilities.

Available Materials:

  • Rigid Opaque Resins: A wide spectrum of colors and stiffness for creating durable, detailed models.
  • Transparent Resins: Simulates clear plastic for see-through parts and lenses.
  • Flexible and Rubber-like Resins: Offers a range of Shore A values to replicate the feel and function of rubber.
  • Simulated Polypropylene (PP): A durable, flexible material with high impact strength, ideal for living hinges and snap-fit parts.

Durable Powders for Functional Parts.

Our SLS machines use high-performance powders to produce robust, end-use parts with excellent mechanical properties. These materials are known for their high strength, durability, and heat resistance, making them a go-to choice for demanding applications.

Available Materials:

  • Nylon (PA12): A strong, ductile, and durable polymer, perfect for complex functional components and assemblies.
  • Nylon Glass-Filled: A reinforced version of Nylon that offers enhanced stiffness and dimensional stability, ideal for tooling and jigs.
  • TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane): A highly flexible and elastic material, great for grips, seals, and shock-absorbing components.

High-Performance Powders for Production.

Multi Jet Fusion technology utilizes fine powders to produce strong, isotropic parts at high speeds. These materials offer a superior surface finish and excellent mechanical properties, making them ideal for both prototyping and final part production.

Available Materials:

  • PA 11: A strong, ductile, and impact-resistant material, often used for prosthetics and high-performance applications.
  • PA 12: A versatile polymer that produces robust, high-density parts with balanced properties, suitable for a wide range of uses.
  • PA 12 Glass Beads: A glass-filled version that provides increased stiffness and dimensional stability, perfect for housings and tooling.

Advanced Metal Powders for High-Performance Parts.

Our metal additive manufacturing processes utilize finely atomized metal powders to create fully functional, dense metal parts. These materials are selected for their superior strength, durability, and performance in the most demanding environments.

Available Materials:

  • Titanium (Ti6Al4V): Known for its high strength-to-weight ratio and biocompatibility, ideal for aerospace, medical implants, and high-performance parts.
  • Stainless Steel (316L): Offers excellent corrosion resistance and strength, widely used in industrial, marine, and medical applications.
  • Aluminum (AlSi10Mg): A lightweight alloy with excellent thermal properties, perfect for automotive and aerospace components.
  • Inconel (IN718): A high-performance nickel-based superalloy with exceptional strength and corrosion resistance at high temperatures.
